Overview
Previously, Minted did not have the data in checkout to know which fulfillers a mixed order was order coming from which caused the user to see one delivery method, one delivery estimate and a potential slew of alerts. This effort split multi item orders into multiple shipment groups based on the fulfiller and allowed users to choose their delivery method at the shipment level rather than the order level and get a more accurate estimated delivery date for all items in their order.
This project demonstrates parsing complicated logic and capturing many edge cases. It also demonstrates modular scalable thinking as it would further extend to post purchase order details pages.
